The simple answer is yes, but there are a view factors to consider.
First, what is 4K? 4K is a TV resolution that is close to 4 times the quality of normal HD, meaning there are many, many more pixels formulating the image on the screen. Currently there is not a lot of 4K content available. DirecTV has the ability to stream 4K content
via an internet connection and they have somewhere around 20 + movies available. They have recently launched a new satellite for 4K content, but it is not yet in use. Netflix also has some 4K content available to stream to your new 4K TV, but as far as getting 4K content the traditional way through your service provider… technology is not quite there yet.
The biggest reason to buy a 4K TV is that they are not really that much more expensive than non-4K TVs. If you are in the market for a new television, why not plan for a TV that will likely last you well into the future and provide a much higher resolution?
